Lymphatic drainage can benefit individuals who experience swelling, oedema (fluid retention), lymphedema, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis and cellulite or those wanting to boost immune function.
Find Out More About Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic drainage massage involves light, rhythmic pressure applied to specific areas of the body in the direction of the lymphatic system’s flow. The light rhythmic pumping movement activates the lymph nodes, stimulating the flow of lymphatic fluids throughout the body, which helps boost immunity and facilitates the removal of excess fluid, waste and toxins.
Lymphatic drainage is often used to help post-surgery recovery as it reduces swelling, promotes healing, and can improve overall recovery time.

Ayurveda Massage
Aspects Of Healing also offer a range of ayurvedic massages, including Abhyanga massage, marma massage, and facial marma massage. Please see our Ayurveda Treatments page to find out more.
Find Out More About Abhyanga Massage
Abhyanga massage is a blissful sensory experience delivered with beautiful music, warm herbal oil (to purify and detox the body) and gentle, relaxing strokes. It targets the whole body including the head, face, neck, shoulders, fingers and feet, for a complete head to toe rejuvenation experience.
Abhyanga is a traditional Ayurvedic massage and is different from most Western massage styles. It uses long, rhythmic, sweeping strokes that follow the body’s energy lines and acupressure points (marma) to release energetic blockages, stimulate the lymphatic system, improve circulation and create a beautiful sense of nurturing and wellbeing.
The oils used are customised to suit your specific prakriti (imbalance), and the massage technique is gentle and nurturing and does not target specific muscle groups like traditional Western massage.
Steam Bath
- + $45
Add to the relaxation effects of your massage by adding a 10-15 minute steam bath after the treatment. Enjoy a deeper sense of relaxation and rejuvenation in our individual seated steam chamber. Our steam chambers circulate steam around the body below the head. This opens and cleanses the pores and increases blood circulation to help eliminate waste, toxins and impurities and helps to ease stiff and aching joints. If you have had an aromatherapy massage, the opening of the pores allows the essential oils to penetrate more deeply into the skin to provide maximum benefit.

How much does a massage cost in Adelaide CBD?
Our massages start from just $65.00 for 30 minutes, and remedial massages attract private health rebates* (Subject to your policy inclusions).
What happens during a massage session?
If you are a new client, we ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your massage to complete our client information form. The massage therapist will then review the form with you and address any current health conditions, concerns, or questions you may have.
The therapist will then leave the room to allow you to undress, get comfortable on the table and cover yourself with a privacy sheet. The therapist will then begin your massage and check in with you regularly to ensure your comfort and adjust the pressure if required. Once the massage is complete, the therapist will leave the room to allow you to dress.
What should I wear during a massage session?
We ask clients to strip down to their underwear for maximum benefit during a full-body massage. For your comfort and privacy, you will be covered with a sheet during the massage, and the therapist will only uncover the area of the body they are working on at any given time.
Will I feel sore after having a massage?
It is possible to feel sore after certain types of massage, particularly if you had deep tissue work to release tight knots and tension. However, this is not something to be concerned about and may feel similar to how you feel after a workout. Drinking plenty of water after a massage can help reduce soreness, as this will flush the toxins out of your body.
Any soreness or discomfort should only last a day or two; however, if the soreness persists, it is essential to consult your massage therapist or healthcare provider to ensure that there are no underlying issues.
How do I know if massage therapy is right for me?
Massage therapy can benefit many people, but whether or not it is right for you depends on your individual needs and circumstances. If you have underlying health conditions, deep vein thrombosis, severe osteoporosis or a history of heart disease, stroke, or high blood pressure, it is important that you consult with your healthcare provider before having a massage to ensure that it is safe and appropriate for your needs.
